Well I grew up in a home where we weekly dined upon kielbasa and kraut and show visible Alpinid heritage. I have a great fondness for Big Frank's veggie hot dogs cooked well and served with mustard or barbecue sauce. Tofurky Artisan vegan sausages can be served central European style with kraut or horseradish. I do also love veggie pizza, especially paired with red wine and a good horror movie.
Burgers are my last lot. I hated them as a child and fed them to the dog. As a veggie, they're my last choice on a barren menu of nothing but veggie burger and onion rings.
I'm a big fan of cultural cooking without the meat. Many early Christians were vegetarian and some European ancestors dined on eggs and cheese more often than flesh. It was commoner to herd chickens and goats in early America than cattle.
