The abuse is undoubtedly immoral but why is adoption will no ill intent immoral?

It is inevitable you make a distinction between your biological and adopted children, also, since the kid is not yours, you tend to experiment more. Adoption in itself is a noble intention, but in general it brings more problems than solutions.

Adoption leads to gay adoption. Either people have kids or they don't, renting them is not a moral option.

If adoption is allowed, it means that people who cannot have kids because god didn't want them to have them can have children now, meaning there is no reason why gays couldn't either. Also, I'm pretty sure you can see the mental illness being higher among adopted kids.

I'm quite sure (but I have no stats to back it up) that unwanted kids, or street kids, or otherwise abandoned or neglected kids with no one to watch out for them, have a pretty high incidence of mental illness, too.

Speaking of gays adopting, I have an acquaintance who adopted three kids with her lesbian partner. The kids are wonderful, happy, and well-adjusted, and the family is very well liked in the community. I personally don't think that gay adoption is ideal, but I think it's much preferable to having a bunch of kids in the world with no home or family.
