I can't even imagine such proposition in my country to happen and it never happened before at least during Yugoslavia times as far as I know.

Balkan, including Croatia, has Dinaric regions influence (especially Southern Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro as you probably know) that can be seen in physical look of people and probably in mentality that can be specific.
I would not say Vlachs are aggressive and arrogant people, I don't know why Croats think so. Much of them live in Eastern Serbia and they are, like Romanians, pretty peaceful ones. Serbs never fight with any of them.

It will be always an ethical and sensitive question. Is it ethical to give birth to a kid with a serious defect or it is better to interrupt pregnancy? Is it ethical if the fetus died in the mother's body not to give her opportunity to remove it from her body with medical help? Is it ethical to force women to have unwanted kids? Is it better to interrupt pregnancy in a professional manner or is it better to let it in hands of butchers? Or what about newborns in garbage cans?
