There was more Albanian influence on Greece than on Italy.

I’m not sure about that. There are more Arbereshe in Italy than there are Arvanites in Greece.

During the Ottoman invasion of Peloponnese, many local Peloponnesians but also most of the Arvanites fled to Italy. That’s how the Arbereshe communities started in Italy.

It should also be added that there is the size of Italy and Greece that determines whether the Arvanite influence was big. Greece is smaller than Italy so the Arvanites had a significant impact, but that doesn’t change the Arbereshe impact in Italy.
