South Asians have far more AASI ancestry (The Andamanese-related pre-neolithic inhabitants of South and South-East Asia) than South-East Asians aside from the Negrito populations. There is no contest here.

Southeast Asia is not a monolith either.Eastern Indonesia amd East Timor are both true Australoid mixed unlike anywhere in South Asia.So in general,South Asia is more "Australoid",But all of South Asia is beat by Eastern Indonesia and East Timor.

AASI is not really "Austroloid" if we're going to use that term. Papuans and Australian aborigines are true Austroloids. There is a huge genetic and even phenotypic distance between Onge, who themselves are drifted from the original population of South Asia, and the indigenous people of the Sahul region. Papuan influence is not really strong outside Indonesia, so most of SE Asia and basically all of South Asia are not really Austroloid at all.

agree. the indian tribals with highest south indian percentage approach the andamanese look rather than australoid look. Honestly I find more australoid looking indians among middle and lower dalit castes rather than the tribals. Its probably cause of the pseudo proto caucasoid features in both groups. So by phenotype yeah indians in general look more pseudo australoid but in terms of actual mix, certain southeast asians have more pure australoid.

    But overall south asians

Irulas(highest south indian in the subcontinent -83%)

I prefer the term AASI bc ASI is outdated.

But anyway AASI was not negrito, negrito refers to Andamanese like Onge and their cousins the Malaysian Negritos. They are drifted genetically from mainland AASI and also have different features-closer those of Sub-Saharan Africa.

How exactly do those people approach the Onge look? I would say they look closer to Australian Aborigines. They aren't particularly similar looking to either though.
