I think ethnic Hungarian member can answer this question better
But I know name of Hungary comes from Onogurs with added medieval latin H, and that Hungarian conquerors were not mongoloid but Uralic-Turkic Eurasian people (mix of East Europids + mongoloid influences)

That is strange because most of Hungarians seem to be pure caucasoid but they speak a finno-ugric language, wich is not a indo-European language, apart from the language and some genetic influences, did these turkic invasors also influenced in the culture?

The Albanians, these tigers of mountain wars ... have as their religion rebellion. Even their worst warrior is one of the strongest and bravest on the battle-field, just as if he was a knight on the legendary horse. But he has no horse, nor proper weapons for battle. Instead of the horse, he has a lance which strikes as lightning, he has spears who's points are full of posion as the sting of hornets, he has also a wooden bow with some arrows. Furthermore, he is stronger than iron ...

Invaders were primarly Ugric with few Turkic tribes as addition and some Turkic steppe influences (yurts, bow and arrow horsemanship)
I think their culture was eradicated after Hungary became western Christian Kingdom in 1000 AD, so it was long ago. Maybe it survived in some village population, folk tales, music, mythology...

My boyfriend is European ofc, but even tousands of years after separation from other FinnoUgrians he score Finnish and even Amerindian/Eskimo-like genetic component. It's amazing !

    Cool,

i don't expected that... It is funny that the genetic tests don't differentiate the amerindians to the central Asian/Siberian that some Europeans have influence, it is as if the amerindians had lived in Europe lol

I've seen even some Greeks that scored "amerindian" in genetics results....

Maybe it appears as "amerindian" because the amerindians are the closest remanescents of the Ancient North Eurasians, wich would be more acurate to be what these mongoloid influenced Europeans really have on them( i think but i don't know for sure)

Going by family names for great-grandparents, because they're in Flemish spelling. I have known my great-grandmother to know she was Dutch. Actually not sure about my maternal grandpaternal great-grandfather, because his name is more common in the Netherlands than in Belgium. I assume his father was Belgian, though.
