Question Eastern European Attitudes towards Men with Mistresses

So, I was doing some research a while back, and in Thailand they have this phenomenon called "Mia Noi" which are like mistresses or secondary wives. The Mia Noi is openly tolerated by the wife as long as the man still provides for, and pays attention to the wife. Would such an arrangement work with Russian or Ukrainian women?

I read in the James Clavell novel "Tai-Pan" that it was normal for well-off men to have mistresses. The wife (Tai-tai) had the authority over the mistresses.

No, it's not a part of Russian culture in general.
    Do what you should.
