For hundreds of years Christianity clerics were allowed to marry. And then came Lateran Councils. Do you think priests scandles would lower allowing to marry?

In Budhusim both Mahayana and Theravada have celibacy.

Might have some errors but its interesting.
The Priest scandals would get less but they are there cause the freemasonry took over vatican after 2nd vatican council.

Quite possible. I know a major reason for falling numbers in Italy and Spain is the scandles. While on average people move away from Christianity (including Catholicism) because of social stances or not believing.

Celibacy is not a bad thing, it is good. Celibates can transmutate their sexual energy into creativity and other things, also if you are able to control your sexual energy, them that means you have a strong self-control, what is necessary to be always a good and loveful person. Controlling the sexual energy is not so difficult since with meditation he can controlate our thoughts, our emotions and sensations.

I know that celibacy is not biblical but the bible also don't forbid it. Celibacy is good because it helps you to have always only pure thoughts and with that, to be always a good person with inner peace. Being Chrsitian don't prevents you to be also a Buddhist, since the teatchings of the both religions are very similar

The most similar teachings to buddhism in christianity come from the franciscan order.
Saint francis teached complete detachment from the material world and compacion to all living beaings.
Even the current pope had to explained in an homily that saint francis wasent a pantheis.
