    I think bodybuilder's are over overcompensating and have not read more than 1 or 2 books in their lifetime.
    Jogging is for women. Too much cardio (as in duration) lowers testosterone. Low testosterone=poor mental skills. For men sprinting short distances is one million times better then jogging. Look up the benefits of sprinting. Maybe nerds are morons and are overcompensating by reading too much books.

    For women. Also for men who try to loose fat. For other men too much cardio lowers testosterone. Not saying that it is bad on occasions, but sprinting short distances is ideal for men.

    Okay. I haven't heard that theory. I was under the impression that sustained cardio is the only way to lower your resting heart rate and become cardiovascularly fit. That's important for men, because men have more cardiovascular disease later in life than women do (due to hormones and differences in the way we store fat).

    Cortisol or stress hormone is one of those catabolic hormones. Not only does it reduce testosterone levels (cortisol and testosterone have an inverse, negative relationship, if one is high the other is low and vice versa), but it also destroys what testosterone builds. Testosterone protects against heart disease, testostrone destroys fat despite fat (especially monounsaturated fat) can increase testosterone levels, testosterone keeps men young, testosterone improves mental capabilities etc. Cortisol or stress makes people fat, dumb etc. Cortisol is also called antitestosterone hormone. Lifting weights and sprinting boost testosterone, but too much lifting and too much cardio lowers testosterone because stress hormone kicks in. That is why is advised to spend only an hour in the gym, but quality hour. For men sprinting and lifting weights is the most optimal solution. Moderate cardio can also increase testosterone levels to a point, but sprinting is much more effective and less time consuming.
