I am thankful, but I don't want it to make 20% + of GDP , lol.......while super tourist country like Austria or Italy have tourism just in few % of GDP, and their main things are ofcourse these two (agr/ind) I mentioned.
Service sector is called tertiary sector for a reason, it can't form economic base, but only a some quality addition.

If Croatia'a tourism collapse, country will bankrupt. I hope it will happen very soon, so we can rebuild economy with more healthy foundations.

Yes, few elite tourists bring more value than hordes of cheap and low class foreigners, also they are more respectful and have genuine interest in country's history and culture.
Those party pigs on Pag and other festivals come only to drink, f*** and take drugs, we don't need them here.

I understand the effects of tourism, but I am unwilling to put every single tourist in the same basket or paint a broad "barbarians" brush.
I think some people in this thread should just get their head out of their ass and realise that dealing in absolutes is no solution.
