Not only me, also French people themselves do

The city ought to be fantastic, but sometimes you feel like in a slum instead.

Bratislava is pretty overated for some reason there are so many tourist coming and you literally go through center for few hours.

But it has many pros -
low criminality
good prices (excluding acomodation which is overpriced as fuck)
homogeneous for a capital city what I love.

In Croatia overrated one is Dubrovnik. It-s beautiful ofcourse, but small , owercrowded and overpriced and I could recommend better authentic destinations in Croatia for foreign visitors.
