    Default Shin splints?

Anybody ever have shin splints before?

Doc just told me I have shin splints and I'm not supposed to exercise for a month.... never heard of this condition.... lame

Does it go away and what do you do about it?

Never had shin splints myself but my younger bro occasionally gets them. From my observation they come and go, eg. he may get them once after he stands up from his desk chair or during bball training and then nothing for the next 6-12 months... apparently they hurt like hell. Best to do what doc says and hopefully you'll get well soon
