These kinda of music are considered crap here. Its very mainstream and low class people loves it. Its called Sertanejo universitário. Its very low class thing, along with funk carioca. Teenagers in big cities prefer pop music, mostly foreign.
The sertanejos lyrics are always about night clubs and beer drinkings.

Its considered brega and cafona as well. In my cousins parties they love to put sertanejo universitário, i feel very cafona. I remember that in Reveillon I did a great tracklist of electronic and pop music, they hated it.

Favelas, suburbs(suburbs in brazil are for low class and middle class folks, mostly low class live) and rural places. They love Sertanejo in these places i mentioned.
