I love my Polish/Polish Am friends. I live in CT where there are a lot of them and they have their own communities. Statistically I think most of them are in IL.

Chicago, really. The rest of Illinois is decidedly Anglo-German. The state is really two in one. I imagine the Polish ancestry in Wisconsin, on the other hand, is much more evenly spread out.

Smitty, I think Polish ancestry is mostly in Milwaukee metro in Wisconsin, not so much elsewhere in the state. To answer this question, I'd argue Illinois or Michigan, NJ and CT less than the Midwest options.

I believe it. That would put Wisconsin in the same basket as Illinois, then. I'm really not that familiar with Wisconsin on a personal level - just the cheese and that dreadful accent.

Whats your opinion on Chicago going from the Polish capital of America to becoming a haven for hipsters and Indian yuppies? And Blacks and Latinos in the Southside.

Chicago has been a Yuppie stronghold since the 80's.

Pennsylvania should get an honorary mention. It has over 7% Polish population. Also foods like Kielbasa and pierogies are commonly ate here even among non-Poles
