    Dr. Stephen Flowers has translated some of Guido Von List's work. Von List claimed to have seen the mysteries of the runes while blind, and created the 18 rune Armanen, based on his interpretation of the Havamal.

    Apparently, it is more common in German speaking countries to still use his 18 Runic system, similar to the younger Futhark, while in English using the reconstructed elder Futhark with its 24 runes and three aettir are used.


    Maybe someday I'll have more interest in it, but as of now, I prefer more modern scholarly studies. Both esoteric and strictly profane academic. The elder Futhark has the benefit of being reconstructed from the younger Futhark, the Gothic language, and the Anglo-Saxon futhorc for comparing the symbolism of the runes. Several rune poems along with linguistics.

    yes you can. Not "the" original but you can buy "originals" that were published in German in Germany, during the third reich years. Which is close enough for me.

    It's a damn shame we didn't stick with runes. It looked a lot cooler than latin and was actually made for germanic languages
