2 Karate guys that fight very effectively in MMA / UFC are Lyoto Machida and Stephen Wonderboy Thompson.

Machida does Shotokan and Wonderboy does Kempo Karate and kickboxing.
They both use their Karate backgrounds in how they fight in UFC .

You think they use shotokan there ??? LOOOOOL

i am coming from shotocan , i started kickboxing and used to learn defense and kicks correctly aftes years of shotocan wrong potitions and hits

Machida use Thai box and BJJ and Thomson Kickboxing and BJJ

The most traditional form of grappling in the west has been wrestling.
Wrestling has for longtime been very popular in the States and Russia/Caucasus and certain Euro countries, it is an effective grappling system, but next to wrestling the most effective happens to be BJJ.
Judo and BJJ are related to each other, but Judo has gone more the way of a sport, its mainly effective for takedowns = trips and throws. Jujitsu more has a more detailed ground game utilising chokes, leglocks, armbars, leglocks , but also utilises takedowns too.
The Gracie's of Brazil started developing Jujitsu to be even more effective in real combat ...this is where BJJ started.

Agree Judo is just a sport , BJJ way better than this and can used in street combat

If you take a look at MMA you can see that 90% of fighters use Kickboxing and BJJ

Karate , kung fu and other chinese/japanish "martial" arts and crap

they moved wrong and they hit wrong without defense

kickboxing is million times better and good in the street while karate and other chinish/japanish styles are just silly moves
    What style do you train?

Have you taken part in street fights?

Great for training the mind to simply move the hands and body as a warm up

I noticed the chicks head bobbing and swerving around, gives me ideas for boxing...

Technically quite similar to Tai Chi (which is very good for calming down after aggressive training sessions) and suapiciously similar to Wu Shu

The footwork, turning of body in different directions, different hand motions are good for "those days when you want to train something but really don't feel like training"

If you ask me, "is this some stupid chink shit?" My answer is "the movements are sophisticated and dextrous" "Indian people or Europeans didnt come up with it"

I would mix it with Sikh Gatka moves
