Nice . Actually Trump, unlike Clinton, both Bushes, Obama has achieved almost all that he has promised. If you think about it, the others are all talk and could never have gotten North Korea to the table even if they wanted to (they didn't even try). In fact, there's this argument going on of Obama being responsible for the recent booming US economy. However...


But I think ultimately, all of this is irrelevant compared to the potential impact on the north korean people. They've suffered long enough and this might be the opportunity for them to turn everything around. In many ways, their situation reminds me of chinese during the GLF and CR periods. I'm sure they'll achieve the same and then so much more if everything goes as it should but they'll first have to adjust to some rapid changes.

Trump has gone in without some ideological judgemental complex and secured a lasting peace and effectively ended 7 decades of hostility, while the supposed peace loving liberal media is scrambling to find every way to discredit him, making themselves look ridiculous in the process.

The important thing that the left is forgetting is that no matter what happens, we are in a better position (in terms of safety), as is the world, regarding North Korea than was the case prior to the meeting. Even if Kim ultimately does not irreversibly denuclearize (which is going to be very hard to prove that he did), they are not testing missiles and are not threatening their neighbors or the United States now, which is a good thing.

I'm ultimately quite skeptical as to what will happen, as the statement is rather similar to what was released in the 1990s, but part of the issue with that was that Clinton was unable (or unwilling) to fulfill all of the promises we made to North Korea. Yet, it was found that they were likely cheating all along.
