What you have to keep in mind is historical changes in genetic makeup. Mediterranean Europeans were originally Nordic-like but later admixed with west Asians. With Slavs it was the opposite.

That does not even make sense when you taken into account 4 years of population genetics. All of central, Western and even Northern Europe was 'Mediterranean' like when you have the arrival of Anatolian Neolithic farmer groups from NW Anatolia. In the far north of Europe you had elevated levels of the native mesolithic Western Hunter gathers such in the Globular Amphora culture (y-DNA I2a). They carried a variant of the IRF4 gene, which is associated with light skin and freckles in British Isle populations, esp. the Irish. The most WHG farmer population was the globular amphora culture and the associated Funnelbeaker culture in Northern Germany, Denmark and Scania /Sweden, and they were mostly positive for all genes associated with blue eyes. Compare that to more Anatolian_N heavy EEF like the older LBK who were positive for S. European type light skin but where pred. dark eyed. In eastern Europe proper (Baltics, European Russia, the western Steppes) the Mesolithic Eastern Hunter Gathers (25% WHG, 75% Ancient North Eurasian) survived with any EEF/Anatolian admixture but mixed with the light skinned but Iranian related Caucasus Hunter Gatherers. EHG/Afontova gora type ANE is positive for Northern European type skin (SLC45) and is responsible for light pigmentation in Nordics while light eyes was probably origined in WHG rich neolithic farmers in Nothern Europe.
Of all the EEF populations that had existed in Northern Europe, the Steppe population only absorbed the Globular Amphora EEF (around 30%) and replaced all other EEF populations (in Britain, in S.Germany, in Ireland, in N. France etc). Slavs are decedents of these steppe people, not West Asians and the European med phenotype comes from the EEF not West Asians.

true but most nationalities within these linguistic groups have historical ties with one another and group into genetic clusters by common ancestry, Id say the biggest exception to this in europe is France and then England, as the French are mostly Gallo-frankish with a little visigoth, burgundian, greek, and latin roman, and the english are only about 1/3-2/3 germanic depending on the region

There are only 2 main European sub-races (or maybe a third one, if we include "Basque-like" pre Indo-Europeans): the Neolithic Med and the Indo-European. And all Europeans are a mix in diverse proportions of those two/three, but with southern Europeans having more Neolithic-Med in their mixture (Iberians more Basque-like as well), and Central, eastern and Northern Euros having more Indo-European in their mix. But ALL Europeans have a decent share of Indo-European mixture. Is just that Central, Eastern and Northern Euros have more.

Slavic, Germanic and Celtic are just linguistic families.

"Mediterranean" is a pretty wide concept... it includes non European ethnic groups too.

true but most have non-white admixture, like a tiny bit of arab or moor, or turk, though this isn't universal, and it is the case that meds can blend into MENA better then most germanic, celtic, or north slavic people can
