When Vladimir Putin came to the power, Russia was about to disintegrate into pieces, torn apart by ethnic hatred and Russian neo-Nazism. In result of hard work, after 18 years of Putin's presidency we can finally say that all racial discrimination and prejudices belong to the dark past and are not existent anymore. The best example is the annual Muslim holiday Eid al-Fitr, traditionalyl celebrated in Moscow, St.Petersburg and big cities in the Putin's years. One of best merits of Putin is that he created good conditions for muslim life in Russia, when tens of millions of our brothers from ex-Soviet republics and neighboring countries feel Russia like a home.

Vladimir Putin offered his greetings to Russia’s Muslims on Eid al-Fitr.

The message reads, in part:

“This holiday is marked around the country, both in religious communities, in the family and with friends. Over many years, Russia’s Muslim organisations have been actively involved in the life of the nation, highlighting the preservation of the family and family values, charity and education. They do all they can to maintain ethnic and religious peace and to encourage young people’s respect for the customs and traditions of their forefathers. This hard, selfless and fruitful work deserves our respect and support.”
