Danish nationalists have been angered by talk of bringing the country’s legal procedures toward immigrant families into line with EU policies, saying that recent EU rulings on the matter infringe on Denmark’s sovereignty. Right-wing politicians say Denmark should be allowed to make its own immigration laws

While I don't find the DPP much to my liking in general, you cannot but agree here. If Brussels is given the right to form immigration policies, we lose all possibility to decide over the future demographic make-up of our countries, and places like Finland will no doubt be forced to "share the burden" since we are so unburdened at the moment.

This is especially bad news as the 24 years rule was the great immigration restrictionist measure passed in reaction to 9-11, and it did much to fuel the nationalist surge we've subsequently seen. Hopefully the Danes can resist the Eurocrats. They better...
