Hahaha it is surely very different to Arabic

But as both cultures had a lot of interactions in the past and a big part of the Arab world were part of the Ottoman Empire, i think there is some similarity like some worlds in Turkish can be the same in Arabic or at least similar, right?

Yeah but mostly religious words, French words are almost more than Arabic words in Turkish

What is interesting is that the Turks used the Arab alphabet until Atatürk even though the two languages being totally different, why the Turks did this? Just because both Arabs and Turks are muslims?

Nope, it was for healthy connection and relationship with other Muslims and also being closer to Islam (about reading Qur’an), not because of our sympathy to Arabic anyway even though Ottoman alphabet had differences than Arabic alphabet

Early Muslim Turkish dynasties used Persian language as administrative language, and used Persian script. When Ottomans switched the official language to Turkish, Old Turkic Alphabet was long forgotten so they sticked to Persian script.

Turkish is a hideous language and its speakers have an unpleasant accent in English.
