Default Treatment of Muslim vs. Orthodox relics in Turkey...

As religion goes, Turkey is a historical contact point between Islam and Orthodoxy. Many Islamic friends active on TA.
Now let us see how historical relics from both religions have been treated under 'Muslim Conservative, AKP's Turkey...

Let's start with old Muslim relics in Turkey:

This is the situation of one of the oldest mosque in Turkey which is located in far eastern Turkey, Kars province. Munejehr mosque.
It dates back Middle Ages and is in desolated situation.

    Now even more interesting.
The government is often proud of its construction works.
This is the turbe of Hassani Basri in Erzurum (eastern Turkey), a Muslim scholar who spread Islam among folks there.
It's about to disappear in midst of TOKI residential constructions.

    Orthodox relics in Turkey:

Sumela Greek Orthodox monastery in Trabzon (north east Turkey).
Restoration costs were around 15 million US Dollar

    Bulgarian Orthodox Church of Istanbul.
Erdogan said that restoration cost around 4 million US dollar. He didnt pay from his pocket, that's govt project so from taxpayers money.

There are also Catholic relics in Turkey, Catholic organizations having relations with Rome, Europe etc. care themselves for their maintenance. They are perfectly preserved.
Here the situation with Orthodox and Muslim relics is quite interesting.

It's interesting, but once a Wallachian voivode Constantin Brancoveanu was beheaded along with his sons for not renouncing his faith, he's canonized in the Romanian church. Anyhow, his and his sons heads were paraded in Constantinople and apparently their heads were dumped in a river because the Turkish leaders feared a revolt from the Christians but also surprisingly the muslims as they felt that the prince had gotten treated very unfairly. IDK if the muslims really did get angry at this, but at least it seems that in some instances Turks were more friendly to Christians than other muslims.

Relics of the Orthodox civilization are now treated better than those of the Muslim one in Turkey. So no problem.

    Aren't Islamic relics an oxymoron?
