Indian students face racial abuse in New Zealand city

Indian students studying in New Zealand's southernmost city Invercargill have been targets of racial abuse and called terrorists by local people, a newspaper reported Wednesday.

Four of those targeted are Sikhs who wear turbans, which they said made some ignorant people confuse them with Arabs or Muslims, the Southland Times reported.

If they don't like it then get out of the country

Sure there would be no problems if they would study in India or adapt to the laws and customs of the country in which they study now.
I am quite sure that it has little to do with "racial abuse" (after all the Maori's don't get mistreated either) but more with ramming their not-so-native religion down the throat of the Kiwi's.

Now that's what I call insulting and racist. Why the hell should native Kiwi's have to tell ignorant and racist foreigners that insult them on their own soil apart from ignorant and racist foreigners that insult them on their own soil ? And why the hell should they have to care about the differences between a Sikh and a Muslim ?

Maori's don't get mistreated, if anything they get things handed to them on a silver platter.

Plus you must remember Maoris are not natives in New Zealand. They invaded the land.

They were never a true race until 1960 when they finally were accepted but the other Cook Islanders.

And you are so right why should Kiwis care about what they are. They are and never will be Kiwis.
