Sure, there were tribal conflicts here and there, but nowhere close to the extent of a national scale.

Well I'm preaching that since I came to TA.

For example Croats and Serbs, they dont like each others overall because of the last 100 years, but almost every single Croatian and Serb forget that Croats and Serbs were friends trough 1000 years, from times of Croatian Kingdom all the way when Croatia was in AustroHungary, Croats were always in friendly relations with Serbia, all the way until cursed 1918 and creation of first "Yugoslavia", but the fact remains we were friends for 1000 years.

Same with Albanians and Serbs, before 20th century nationalism, one can hardly remember any major conflict between Albanians and Serbs or any hatred for that matter.
