Cities and towns is where political movements grow. The only time you established a presence in Greek Macedonia was when you collaborated with the communists. That didn't last long or work out well.

Take a look at this book. Compilation of Macedonian Slavic words and phrases from the Village of Bogatsko (Vogatsiko), Kostur/Kastoria in the 16th century. Amazing looking at this words and being able to say that the Macedonian language today has hardly been changed since then.
