Why would the Falkland Islanders want to be given away to argentine rule?

92% turnout... 98.8% voted to remain governed by Great Britain. Listen to the Falkland Islanders wishes instead of dictating to them they should be ruled by argentina.


Same with Gibraltarians... they don't want to be governed by spain.

The UK might eventually have to offer the Falklanders to become an official part of the UK, akin to French/Spanish/Dutch overseas departments. The Argies will still call it colonialism of course but at least it will give the Falklands more security.
