Default Are NE Italians (Veneto, Friuli, etc.) mixed with Slavic?

I have seen some genetic results where they shift toward Serbia, Croatia, etc. and rather than coming up like southern French or Spaniards, they come up halfway between Spain and Thessalian Greeks or Albanians.

Might they have Slavic input that was assimilated, or is it likely pre-Slavic Balkan input?

That's what I wonder too since my genetic community on Adna consists of those regions. My Ancestrydna hasn't been updated yet.

Can you post photos of average North Italians?

There is no average North Italian, genetically we range from North Tuscan-like to 2/3 Tyrolean + 1/3 Lombard depending on the province.

Check these K13 Mixed Mode results for 4 North Italians:

    Brescia (Eastern Lombardy)
    Spoiler!

    Vicenza (West-Central Veneto)
    Spoiler!

    Motta di Livenza (Eastern Veneto)
    Spoiler!

    Udine (Friuli)
    Spoiler!

Mind you, there are provinces even more diverging than this individual from Udine like Gorizia or Trento.

They look mostly Italian, especially in your second photo and pass best in all of Italy. Though admittedly a good amount look more "mainstream" European.

Venetians did not but Friulans, especially the Venezia Giulia part has some kind of Slavic admix (Trieste - Gorizia area) but it's very ancient since Slovenes and Italians lived side by side for many centuries.

I remember a study about some isolated communities in Friuli and some of the villages shifted abnormally north and one clustered with Basques!!

Nope, they aren't mixed with Slavic, except some small parts of Friuli-Venezia Giulia.

Alpini aren't local soldiers. They are actually from anwywhere in Italy.

This is a prime example of poor photo choice, not only because you can barely see their faces but also because I can read two names on their uniforms: one, Barbon, is local and the other, Zizza, is a typical Apulian name. This should come as no surprise taking into account internal immigration and that southerners notoriously join en masse the army.
