Dünyaca ünlü Oscar ödüllü Yunan besteci Manos Hacidakis'in (1925-1994) bestelediği ve günümüze kadar pek çok sanatçının seslendirdiği "Kemal" adlı şarkı, Yunanistan'ın başkenti Atina'daki bir ilkokulda "İslam propagandası yapıldığı" iddiasıyla yasaklandı. Adı açıklanmayan bir ilkokul öğretmeni, 5'inci sınıf öğrencilerine Hacidakis'in 1968'de New York'da tanıştığı Kemal adlı genç için bestelediği şarkının sözlerini içeren kağıtları dağıtıp, bir sonraki derste şarkıyı okuyacaklarını söyledi. Velilerden biri okul müdiresine giderek, "Kemal şarkısı ile İslam propagandası yapılıyor" şikâyetinde bulundu. Gerekçe de şarkıda üç kez "Allah" kelimesinin geçmesi. Bunun üzerine müdire, müzik dersinde sınıfa girerek kâğıtları topladı. Ardından da öğretmeni odasına çağırarak, "İlkokulda tek düşüncemiz çocuklara vatan ve milli vicdan duygularını öğretmektir. İşinizden hiç memnun değilim" dedi. Ünlü şair Nikos Gaçios'un sözlerini yazdığı şarkıda, dünyayı değiştirmek isteyen ancak başaramayan bir prensin öyküsü anlatılıyor.
