How'd you feel if tomorrow the Bulgarian government declared "we live in a globalised world now. Our language is pointless and insignificant, so let's gradually abolish it and now introduce English as the official language of the country".

I don't think globalization is meant to be number 2. That's fucked up. I view it as an exchange of cultures and languages. That's why I like it.

I don't mean to offend you but that's not even hypothetically possible to be said by any Bulgarian authority, even by our worst politicians like prime minister (I don't like him even if he has some good qualities) Borisov.
Hypothetically I would be travelling to Sofia joining a protest with plenty of others I know but, like I said, this is an impossible scenario.
You see, the essence of most Bulgarians is a fair share of nationalism with still being open-minded enough to study several other languages (I started speaking English when I was 6), trading with others and respecting most of the world.
Besides, I guarantee that if a Bulgarian politician ever qualifies our language with the words you mentioned this will be the end of his career. Ministers have been fired for much less.
