Classifying statues? How's that any accurate than classifying an Icelandic version of Jesus. You can't classify ancient people's without their skull

Yeah they give an idea though. I think he looks very Iranid in my opinion. Since he was from Khwarazm, despite speaking Turkic, they claimed to be descendant of the Persian/Iranic Khwarezmians. They most likely just adopted Turkic speech. He differed from other Mamlukes in being more swarthy and near Eastern looking. Since other Mamlukes often came from the Caucasus, Volga and Crimea and often spoke Turkic Kipchak, however Arabic was still the main language and the official one. Qutuz differed as he was from Persia originally.

Youre going to have to clarify who mamlukes are and I am not familiar with their history but this is what I was able to find on iranids. I guess you could say they look similar feature wise but that's a statue and doesn't give away any real features. It might have been made to look robust

The Mamlukes were military slave caste, that was created by the Abbassids and later Ayyubids. They often brought Kipchak and Caucasian male slaves. These slaves however were trained in knighthood and religion. Thus the Mamlukes had Crimean, Circassian, Georgian, Armenian origins, however there seem to be an exception like Qutuz who was a Persian slave, and some Shajar Al-Durr who was a female Mamluke in fact a Syrian Bedouin, well others say she is Armenian or Anatolian Turk. Thus they were diverse, but the majority of them were of Kipchak origins from the Crimea, Ukrainian steppe and Volga regions. The Mamlukes would be patrons of Arab language and civilization, after the fall of Baghdad. Most often it was the Mongols that sold them into the slave market of Baghdad and Damascus. After the last Ayyubid sultan dies, they take over creating their empire but respecting the Caliph in Baghdad. The Mamlukes spoke Kipchak Turkic, but their phenotype was Caucasoid rather than Mongoloid, they had light eyes and often tall and had blond and light hair. The Mamulkes would be defeated by the Ottomans.
