The Landes is renowned for its pine forests and sandy beaches, the forests, however, are a relatively recent addition to the landscape as the area was only cultivated during the 19th century. Before that, the area was a malaria-infested swamp, poor and extremely underdeveloped, where people used to walk on stilts in order not to sink away into the eternally water-logged soil. Today, the area is a prime tourist destination and has been for some time.

In this video you will go through Anse, a small city lost in the countryside, some other really small villages near the Mont Verdun, to finally get in Lyon's suburbs !

It is a center for air defense operations transferred to the site from the now-deactivated headquarters of the French Air Force at Taverny Air Base – BA921 near Paris, with an underground alternate strategic command center hardened against chemical and nuclear attack.

Lyon, also spelled in English as Lyons, is the third-largest city and second-largest metropolitan area of France. It is located at the confluence of the rivers Rhône and Saône, 391 km (243 mi) southeast of Paris, 278 km (173 mi) north of Marseille, 113 km (70 mi) southwest of Geneva.
