He was much more than an influential figure. He was our creator who came down to dwell with us in our own environment, so he could experience humanity with all its trials and tribulations, and thereafter become the perfect saviour for us all. There is no greater love that has ever been shown to anyone. And he is so awesome, he hears every single prayer we raise to him... even if all the world prayed to him at the same time... he is able to hear us all!

Nerwen, for you in particular... I think you should know that Jesus Christ, as Lord, has defined European history and the European people... captivating us so much that we dedicated our countries and histories to him and his lordship. You will find this entrenched throughout our history and culture... for example, the king or queen of England is always the "Defender of the Faith". It is unthinkable that any European royalty could not be Christian! But, sadly, we are currently living in wicked and evil times, and this continent and its people have strayed away from their God... and have forgotten him to a great extent. However we knew that this was going to happen, it was prophesied long ago in the Bible. And we know that when this happens, we are at the edge of time... near the day when Jesus will again appear and this time every eye shall see him... and he will this time come in all his resurrected glory, as a warrior to take captive the evil one who has deceived the nations, and to rule over all with an iron fist. This is what will surely happen.

Beautifully said!! HE is the reason why we exist... the sole reason why life is worth living. He is all in all... the first and the last, the beginning and the end. The most wonderful, most beautiful, most precious, most powerful and most glorious King in the universe! I long for the day when we will be with him... we are much closer now than when we were first saved!

It is worth exploring for you, and I personally think the best way to the truth is to begin to realise that Jesus is not just a historical character or the starter of a new religion, but that he is in fact God who came down to live as a human, in order to redeem them. Only he is able to give us an eternal future. I want to encourage you to seek him... because I know from personal experience that he responds to that... in ways that would truly amaze you, that you did not expect.

Good that you ask

Most importantly, it must be an inner desire for knowledge of Jesus... a desire to meet him, to find him, to get to know him... and, therefore, prayer is very important. But not anything like a ritual, religious prayer... but more like you talking to him, asking him sincerely to reveal himself to you! Once you have done that, and meant it, I can assure you he will answer you... and reveal himself to you. Maybe sooner than you expect, or perhaps a bit later on... but he certainly will, I can assure you that.

I can recommend reading the Bible, the New Testament... where you will learn much about Jesus. Ask God to guide you and to show you things in the Bible that would reveal God's purpose to you... and he will!
