I think theres more diversity within Europeans than east Asians. thats easily noticeable after 5 mins of observation.
its only the Japanese that we indo-pacific can tell apart from east Asians..
even if isolated tribe from pacific that has never seen white person in his life, would easily pick up the differences with greek, irish, & Sweden...

Maybe in extreme cases, ex. dark hair, red hair, blonde hair. But it's something that takes time to get used to, it doesn't matter how obvious it may seem to us because we're used to seeing Europeans our whole entire life. It's better nowadays in 2018 with all the Western culture's influence on East Asia (TV, movies, etc), but historically it's not something they would ever even try to think about. White people are just white people, they are foreigners - that's all that's considered.
