Statistically type III and type IV are the main types in Spain let alone Portugal. Coastal moroccans also fall under these types (maybe with a higher occurence for type IV; my mother is clearly type II she can't tan and becomes red under the sun). And what kind of excuse is this ? Calm down mate I just said iberians were darker than georgians. Only riffians (and maybe kabyles) are lighter than the homogeneous med population of Portugal. Average coastal north african is in the same range as portuguese even though more dark types are found among us I suppose.

I suppose Riffians have a higher incidence of mediterranean types compared to other moroccans, that's my impression from the pictures posted here. But from that to saying they are lighter (i think the claim is same skin color but lighter hair and eyes) to most southern europeans is bizarre indeed.

I think that showing the presence of light types among public figures of a country should be enough to even make it debatable. But even that is difficult, seems there aren't any in Morocco, riffians or not.

These maps show that the average skin color in the IP and in coastal North Africa are indeed about the same and that it is arguably darker than in the North Caucasus.



Even the Nordic subrace have more presence in some parts of North Africa than in a large part of the IP.

But basically yeah, you're quite right. And even in Brittany there's a strong med element. My grandmother is 100% breton over several generations. She can pass easily in Portugal. Even one of my great uncle who fought during the Algerian War passed as North African. Bretons are very frequently Atlantid anyway, so they carry a strong med element.

The 1/3 Southern France, perhaps more, is mainly med, and I don't even count all the South Euro and MENA immigration.
