    As far as I have observed, light hair and light eyes among Spaniards were not so frequent. Actually they might even be on paar with Turks and Greeks in terms of average.

    Yes and No. It's not frequent, but it's more frequent than Greeks and Turks. We are more northern shifted than other Southern Europeans. All pigmentation maps I've seen show that we have slightly higher frequencies of pale eyes and light hair than others, except for North Italians.

    I think, being more Northern shifted does not so correlate with lighter pigmentation. Altai people are also pretty Northern shifted but they are dark.

    Among full Caucasians it does.

    Because pure mongoloids are all dark, no matter southern or northern. Caucasians are only race where light features occur on large scale.

    Then tell me why Spaniards are darker than Adygei overall although Spaniards are more Northern shifted?
