Egyptian is right. Tayip tried to be leader of the Arab world, but rich Gulf Arabs rejected his leadership Remember tensions last year.
He will maybe try to do like Selim I by bringing Arab scholars to Turkey and giving control of Turkey to Arabs for the Arabization. Maybe then he could have a chance. Egypt is still the strongest of Arab countries though Saudis are spreading Wahhabism very quickly there.

What more in your opinion can make turkey "arabized" than just changing its language? I mean, OK it has a turkic language and maybe share a 1/10 of other things that Arabs do not share, but to be honest I can't really make the difference about the rest 9/10 of Turkish things from next-door Syrians or Iraqis (maybe excluding skin color)

But that's maybe because I am a foreigner and oriental things tend to look all the same to me, you may know better to distinguish "turan" heritage from Arabic one and say the difference between Turkish and nearby levantine elements

I would have no problem to be oriental, but to be honest neither I see anything Turkish or other oriental things as familiar, nor I am seen as such by the others, so could you elaborate from what aspect we are oriental? Cause when we think "oriental", we think of anything east of Greece
