Default Post your top 5 genetic relatedness scores to populations in k36 mapping tool

I think its a good tool overall to determine your genetic relatedness scores to different populations overall. That gives a good indication of your genetic homogeneity amongst different populations from a visual context that in most cases; is easier said and done.

Uses scores from your Eurogenes k36 results from Gedmatch.

    Example:

    http://gen3553.pagesperso-orange.fr/ADN/similitude.htm

    Top 5:
    1) 89- Welsh/English

    2) 87- Briton/Brittany

    3) 86- Northern Irish/Irish/Scottish/Orcadian/Norman

    4) 85- Belgian/Dutch

    5) 84- West German

    etc.
“The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far. The sciences, each straining in its own direction, have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.”

These kind of things are not perfect but they are pretty good I guess . It should be common sense that the Dutch and British are closely related:

    1.) Dutch

    2.) English

3.) Welsh and lowland-Scotland have the same score

    4.) Orkney/Oracadian/Celto-Viking-Norman/

    1) Ireland/Orkney 87
    2) Wales 86
    3) Scotland/N.Ireland/England 85
    4) Holland 84
    5) Denmark 83

It's interesting that I seem very close to both Celtic and Germanic populations simultaneously.

I would like to put it, but since I'm mixed things get out. Well, even if I quit just one population, things still hard to tell. The most interesting thing are my Asian ratings - even being mixed I can get up to 32 in Central Asia (Turkmen_Uzbekistan)

    Overall speaking, it would be:

    1 - 75 Mexican_White
    2 - 73 Dominicana
    3 + 4 - 71 Argentinian/Venezuelan
    5 - 70 Colombia
