Idiot. They came from the Levant. You forgot the Canaanites, uguratics, and the Eblaites or the Paleo-Syrians who spoke eastern Semitic language as the Akkadians. No such thing as a "Hamitic" race. The Egyptians, who were neither Arabs or Semites, were a unique people in the Afro-Asiatic language family, and we already have their genetic results confirming their place among middle easterners.

Proto-Semitic itself originates in the Levant. True J1 has a more northern origin from around the Caucasus, Anatolia and Iran area but the clades that were absorbed by Proto-Semitic peoples were absorbed around in the Levant when J1 clades like P58 had already moved down from eastern Anatolia into the fertile Crescent area. I agree that they probably had lighter skin than previous inhabitant apart from CHG who were light skinned as well

The CHG who were probably the first J1 carriers were in fact lighter skin despite other hunter-gatherer groups like the WHG having darker skin.
