Do Russians have a romantic image of Siberians ?

Do Russians view Tatar and Siberian ancestry in a romantic light, or that's not the situation. For example many White Americans often claim to be part Amerindian and have romantic image of them, and funny enough it's usually from the Cherokees or from the so called civilized tribes, never heard of them claim to be from the Chumash or Tongva or Apache lol. Anyways do Russians have this view, or is there hostility between them and Siberians. What's interesting is that Europeans were ruled by Mongoloid nations, Huns, Avars, Mongol-Tatars, and then they began to rule them. Also the Russian conquest of Siberia happened due to the fall of the Muslim Khanate of Sibir.

Well, Tatars are the second biggest people of RF, while Amerinds of USA are nearing extinction.

I think Caucasus had a certain romantic image in Russian empire in the time when it run Caucasian war there. It's reflected in Russian literature.

No, and it's because Siberians weren't totally decimated like the Native Americans were. It's easy to idealize a people when they barely exist in the flesh and blood anymore, at least when it comes to day to day interactions for most Americans.

True in Canada, Amerindians are not really seen in romantic light on the contrary. They have an image that's really bad, especially in the Western provinces. They have many parallels with African-Americans in treatment to extent. Their numbers are much higher. Well in the U.S they are basically verging on extinction. Kinda sad what happened to them.

I like Native Americans a lot. But their community indeed has many social problems. Welfare cases are a major issue, laziness, alcoholism, listlessness.

Same, I am very sympathetic to them because they were victims of the conquest of the Americas. Yeah their community does suffer a lot and even here in Canada. We also had some Amerindian ethnic groups being totally extinct like the Bethouk and Hachaath. I think a lot of their social problems stem from the legacy of colonization and ongoing discrimination. For example Montana has high number of Amerindians they face same problems to extent as African-Americans do like racial profiling and such.

Whenever I date Russian girls I tell them I have Norwegian ancestry they froth it until they find out my name and heritage. Others say they are italian if they are darker. So yes very romantic.

Conqueror is conqueror....and normally behaves like that (everywhere in humans history). And especially if other ethnics look different enough vs them => those have not be seen equal. Same goes with Siberians.
