Turkics were always a mixture of Caucasoid and Mongoloid races. But Turkics can be both Caucasoid or Mongoloid predominated. But there are exceptions: Yakut and Gagauz peoples. As everyone knows, Yakuts are most/pure Mongoloid and Gagauz are most/pure Caucasoid Turkic group. But are one of them pure Turks? Answer: none of them! For example: Yakuts are Kurykan Turks who mixed with Tungusic peoples. And Gagauz are Oghuz Turks who heavily mixed with Balkanites. Also I saw that a Gagauz scored as 50% Bulgarian+50% Turk_Aydin at Gedmatch.
Also people know something wrong. People thinks that most Mongoloid Turks are pure Turks but they're misunderstanding. Original Turks were mixed. From predominantly Caucasoid to predominantly Mongoloid, sometimes 50/50. Because the ancestors of Turkics mixed imbalancedly. This is why we don't look same. Also ancient Turks didn't look same, too.
