Traditionally, IQ measures and tracks your abilitiy to think and solve complex riggles and patterns. Language is partly conditioned by your environmental factors and can be an advantage if one grows up in an academic environment. The best IQ tests are the ones that have riggles that are not based on mathematics taught in schools.

Most people think that verbal intelligence is some vocabulary related type IQ.It is crucial to have high verbal intelligence for anyone who wants study mathematics and physics, not only spatial/visual, numerical IQ etc.

Mathematical imo. Even language based stuff has a tonal/musical component, which is a measure of sounds.
