can some Eastern Europeans pass as half-Japanese in Japan?

it's not uncommon at all in Eastern Europe to see natives that have some facial features that are somewhat similar to East Asians, like:
- a sort of epicanthal fold, which unlike in Asians it hangs over the outer side of the eye (not the inner side next to nose like on East Asians)
- protruding, larger, higher cheekbones
- eyes set wider apart, so the distance between the eyes is larger than the eyes (unlike Mediterraneans for example, whose eyes are close one to another)
- sometimes these come with a Mongol-like beard pattern (mustache, goatee and patch that do not touch each other, and no or very scarce sides beard)

since head shape and overall face shape and proportions are still very different between Eastern Europeans, which are Caucasian/White, and East Asians, one could not pass as the other, but my curiosity is if such Eastern Europeans could pass as half-Japanese - I see more and more half-Japanese in sports for example, and if Japanese in Japan could consider them half-Japanese if they saw them on the street in their town

I am not Japanese, but I think not... Eastern Europeans are just some type of of Europeans/Whites. They don't even look remotely close to 1/2 Japanese/Asians.

Japanese people would probably think they are from Europe & North America.

you misread what I wrote - I refer to the Eastern Europeans with the traits I've detailed in the OP - to the ones that already have some somewhat Mongol traits, not to the Eastern Europeans in general, obviously

I've never seen Russian, Ukrainian or Belorussian who has 'Mongol' traits you've been talking... Where did this myth come from?

I see Russians everyday, may be some of them have 'Ugric-Finnic' pseudo-mongoloid treats, but most of look nothing like 1/2 Asians.

But may be some of 'Eastern Euros' do... Look at this teenage Bulgarian singer, I think she definitely has strong 'Asian' features

I think they could actually. Many half japanese/east asian and half euros look similar to central asians and many eastern euros have oriental features that approach the central asian turanid look so yeah I would say some do look like they could pass as Hafus in japan.
