When you say Menas you have to be specific, A lot of MENAs of European origin especially Lebanese people and northern coast of Egypt... so there is no self-hate but the exception for the European Egyptians that they don't jump around saying we are europeans, once Egyptian always Egyptian... Lebanese otherwise (not majority) want to have more links with Europe other than Arabs.

Anyway the amount of Europeans in Menas is way higher than Turkey or Afghanistan.

I haven't even seen much from them about heralding their remote Crusader lineages, but others have seen more than me.

I think you exaggerate about them using the "Who's Whiter" salutation to bash Blacks and Jews. I do suppose that they've used other reasons to express their dislike for them.

Interesting, I think my lebanese great grandpa had crusaders blood because of his looks. But thats not a reason to be proud, and if that was true he didnt even know or cared, he concidered himself 100% christian lebanese.

I agree, and you should be proud. It's an impressive legacy, especially the Battle of Cerami.

Prior to the Battle of Hastings, in 1066, William the Conquerer was called Willam the Bastard. He should've been called William the Lucky. Harold's army had just defeated the Vikings at Stamford Bridge, but found that they had to make a forced march across England to face William's Normans.

Actual Norman input in Lebanon is mostly concentrated in Shias and Druzes, due to their isolation prior and after being raped by the Crusaders. I don't neither are proud of this input, just self-aware.
