Origin of Slavs?

I have heard so many thing about the origin of Slavs such as:
They originated in Northwestern Europe and they moved towards Eastern Europe and Russia.
or
They originated in Siberia and moved to west.
or
They originated near Carpathian Mountains and spread through certain regions.

Which one is true? If any of them is incorrect, please specify.

It isn't still located. The oldest Slavic toponyms and hydronims are in Western Ukraine and Southeastern Poland... and that could be good hypothesis. Upper from that lived Balts (before Slavic expansion).

Slav is a Term from 7th century A.D. that emerged from a single Tribe called Sclaveni.

They did not have a state but lived in Duchies and Grand Duchies dozens of tribes.

Herodotus said: "Thracians are the largest community on Earth, second only to Hindus people, they could defeat anyone if they ever unite, but that's impossible (due their nature)"

He also mentioned that they live from present day Bulgaria all the way to Northern Sea, and that they predate Hellenes.

Some Thracians have been assimilated into Hellenic World (those living in Roman Empire) etc.. while others... continued living their primitive lifes up to 1600's

Problem with their identity is due to Hellenic Concept of History where Everything must be 1. identified 2. hellenized 3. written in hellenic form. Since "Slavs" or "Thracians" did not write
things down, their ancient history is lost.

Some others believe that Thracians are only Romanians and Balkan people i.e. True Slavs, while Russians for example are Slavicized Steppe people etc...

It's really DARK area of history, it's impossible to be precise.

MY DNA is 70% of 1250 B.C. Pannonian Plain Ancient citizen, so we are obviously native to Pannonian plain.
