Well, the government tries to enact policies to preserve the reservations, affirmative actions (which I'm against, not only for indians, but for any other ethnicity as well), but you'll see people trying to get benefit and extra cash from it, including natives, which only helps in discrediting their image towards the general population. It's a really complex problem, I for one believe it would be better to preserve their culture while leaving them alone, but the expansion of the agricultural frontier to the Amazon won't allow that to happen, all they hope for is for a president that actually listen to them, but I don't see that happening too..
