Default Ireland's Population Growth Five Times The EU Average but why is Germany, Italy & Spain Declining?

I was reading this article about the population growth in Ireland but what caught my eye was this:

Deaths now outnumber births in 13 EU member states including Germany, Italy, Spain, and Finland, with the EU’s overall natural population falling.
Why aren't other Europeans having enough children?

This is also factoring in all the immigrants that places like Germany have taken in.

All of Europe is having too little kids (on average). And immigration isnt the solution even according to a rand study.

    My opinion:

Essentially the small countries with higher population density and liberal countries need to get up to 2 kids/couple to at least sustain themselves.
The large or more conservative countries need to get 3 kids/couple.
The smaller countries with some room can go for 2.5 kids/couple. (particularly some countries in Southeastern Europe including Greece/Bulgaria). They would serve kinda like a forttress from the Turks/Muslims.

This is important because Africa will be massively increasing in population over the next decades. It will be a reason to stop unnessary immigration.
Europe needs to compete with China/India/US/etc.

There are many Brazilians in Ireland, maybe that's is the reason.
Even Brazilians of German/Italian descent have few kids.
I was watching the documentary " finding supermodels in rural Brazil ", one family who is poor and live in a wooden house had just two kids, they are actually not " poor " according to Brazilian standards, but even so I find it quite few.
I have talked to some white Brazilians once and they tolled me that their grandfather had around 10/14 kids, it has declined a lot.

I don't know if you're joking about the Brazilians. The article also says this.

Excluding the impact of immigration, Ireland had the highest rate of natural increase (an excess of births over deaths) in its population in the EU last year, at a time when many other countries are experiencing a decline.
This was the largest amount of foreign nationals in Ireland (at least in 2014). According to data, taken from January 1st, 2014, Poles made up the largest grouping of non-nationals in Ireland at 22 per cent (or 118,042), followed by British 21 per cent (115,658); Lithuanians 7 per cent (35, 617) and Latvians (20, 086) and Nigerians (19, 727) 4 per cent each.

Ireland does have one of the highest rates on non-nationals per capita in the EU though.

What about Spain and Italy though? Ireland isn't that traditional anymore. They do use birth control and the influence of the Church has greatly declined in Ireland hence why they voted in Gay marriage and abortion recently.

Poles tend to have more kids in richer countries (at least it seems so).
Ireland also getting immigration. So you are close to the 1840 population (which then fell % significantly).

    Catholicism.
    Not necessarily true.
Poland is the most conservative and has low fertility rates even with recent boost due to family help from the government.
There is something else going on because it effects liberal and conservative Catholic countries in Europe (all of Christianity basically within Europe).

I was kidding haha, but thanks, mate!
I think it has to do with the mentally, I do not know Ireland well, but I guess Italy is more industrialised than Ireland, in rich areas people tend to focus on their professional life and decide to have kids when they are older.
I have heard that most women in Germany have kids at an age higher than 30 years old.
I will check the birth rate from eastern Europeans.

City living, convenience, longer education and full time jobs (lowers the amount of time women have for children) play a factor. And thats just some of the reasons.

Poles don't tend to be procreating greatly in Poland though. It would be interesting to know if that would change for the Poles in Ireland or in the UK.

Yes it is amazing that after 180 years Ireland might have a population close to the pre-famine era. A lot more of a diverse population though.

What is wrong with the Italians and Spanish though? Why aren't they having the bambinos and nińos?
