People that prefer Animals over Humans

Are they psychopaths? What other species would show more empathy to another species over it own?

Is this a western phenomenom?

Is it a factor that play in the low birthrate in the west?

Are crazy animal lovers that still eat meat simply hyypocrites?

Yes they are psychopaths.

Animals should be respected, helped but they are not above any human.

I see it this way:

I respect Animals, they are created by god/nature just like us.

This Planet and our species will be gone if we keep endanger them.

On the other hand I have a complete realistic and no emotional relation to them:

-They overwhelmingly belong in the wild not in homes

-They can never replace a human relationship

-Outside of nature they are also accaptable as livestock

-Pets are totally okay but once you exagurate your relationship with the pet, things become weird for me personally

-I am totally fine with foreign cultures eating animals that our culture defines as pets

I think some people just use that as an excuse of being asocial. Usually these people are not the extrovert types, or has some deeper trauma, or negative prejudice against others he/she don't know personally. (in some cases that makes sense).

Animals especially dogs seem to show empathy and love towards you without you have to do much to earn this.

You probably right, it seems to affect people that expect a relationship of any kind is unconditional to some extend.

I don't think it is psychopathy, they just have problem with socialization or maybe they are just like that - on animal level of development, so let them be what they are.

I'm talking here about extreme cases of people who project all hate to humans and think they are Gods who save animals, especially dogs.

And I don't think having pets is western phenomena, as far as I know Arabs love eagles and sometimes have them as pets.
