I think those asian idols are very popular among teenage girls and young adults cause they are physically attractive, lean but in shape, have great music talent, dancing skills, etc. I wouldnt say they are feminine, they just look young and more appealing to the younger audience. After a certain age, girls give less importance to looks and go after personality and such.

However I noticed young teenager girls have a thing for baby faced guys, or cute guys. Justin Biever, K-Pop singers (they literally look like girls), etc. Anyways, once women grow up we prefer manly guys.
