Default References to ethnicities by inspirator of Greek revolution Rigas Feraios, 1797.

He refers to several ethnicities in the Thourios(hymn that inspired the Greek revolution), which pretty much demostrates that Greeks(referred to as ''Romioi'') were not a mix of other ethnicities, but rather a separate ethnolinguistic group on their own.

Στὴν δόξαν τοῦ πολέμου, νὰ τρέξωμεν μαζύ.
Βουλγάροι, κι΄ Ἀρβανῆτες, Ἀρμένοι καὶ Ρωμιοί
    Translation:

To the glory of war, we shall run together, Bulgarians, and Albanians, Armenians and Romioi.

Arvanites and Albanoi are variations of the same word. Romioi (used in the original) and Greeks have the same meaning but are different terms.Besides I mention this in the OP.

The term used for Albanians initially was
    Alvanites
in the chronicle of the Tocco which was written by a Greek at the time.

Anyone who thinks Arvanites are anything other than Alvanites ie Albanians is either a self hating Arvanite himself or just totally misinformed.

Arvanit was our only ethnonym at that time. We in albania didnt start calling our selves shqipetar untill 50 years after your revolution.

Turks still call us by our medieval name. Your island Cyprus even has a cape on tip of the Akamas called Akrotirio Arnaoutis, you should change it to greek and say Akrotirio Arvanitis instead.

Your both going uppity and defensive, projecting your personal insecurities (about my opinion) on the observation I stated.

I don't need to change the name of Cape Arnaoutis. It's just a name.

Guess what, I can post observations.

    Bump

Muslim Albanians would be referred to as Turco-Albanians anyway.

There's no concrete evidence of that.
