Today, in what the great Gore Vidal called “the United States of Amnesia,” with all the frenetically hostile rhetoric and hysterical bombast concerning the recent Trump-Putin Summit, not many persons (especially these ill-informed belligerent critics) know about the history of when the United States invaded Russia. These are facts seared in the memory of the Russian people. Watch this episode of the excellent PBS series, The Great War and the Shaping of the 20th Century, a KCET/BBC co-operation in association with the Imperial War Museum, 1996, as it describes the aftermath of World War I. Pay particular attention to the segment, “Intervention,” (beginning at 15:00), which describes the US invasion of Russia, as told through the eyes of an American soldier, Sergeant Silver Parrish.

Why did he hate the Czar? I wonder how Europe or the world would be if the revolution never happened.

As a very influential banker, felt he needed to free Jews, from the "evil" Christian Russian (although Germanic) czar and the pograms/pale of settlement.
So many of the articles which repeat 5 or 6 million Jews in newspapers back then, refers to the Jews in the Russian Empire/later Soviet Union who were "suffering".

At the same time its possible the American-Anglo establishment (which was much more American-Anglo back then) may have seen Russia as a competitor.

This also happened after the fall of the Soviet Union. CIA was sent in to plunder the nation; as a result Russia was in economic turmoil throughout the 90's, with the help of their ally Yeltsin the drunk, whom the Americans help elect. Talk about a foreign nation meddling in your elections.

The intervention in 1919 to aid the White Russians was a multi-national affair. Americans don't remember it just like they don't remember when US Marines were sent to Haiti and the Dominican Republic a few years prior entering WW1. Militarily speaking it wasn't a major event to the US and wasn't popular with 'the powers that be' in Washington except for Wilson who tended to do whatever he wanted.

That being said, I knew about it when I was a kid from a comic book and I clearly remember reading about it in my high school social studies class. It was basically a paragraph.
